Fireworks! BBQ! The day off from work!
James and I spent the entire holiday eating, drinking, relaxing and recovering from a “food coma.” We went to a friends house for a BBQ to celebrate. They grilled delicious cilantro turkey burgers and bleu cheese hamburgers. There was a fabulous pasta salad made by a true California native who knows her salad!
Then of course, there’s dessert. And that’s where I came in. I made three desserts — but only two made the video.
First, was a cherry espresso walnut brownie (an Emily original). Then came the coconut blueberry poundcake. And finally, the staple in all BBQ’s around the Fourth, apple pie (not really an Emily original, but I figured out proportions and ingredients as I went along.)
In order to avoid a very long post, I’m providing links to the three recipes below — video included!
